Introducing the first locally-developed educational drone
X-LIPAD, or Light Intelligent Platform of Autonomous Drones, is a tech company that manufactures and pioneers the local development of educational drones in the Philippines. Through their flagship DREAM system, they aim to accelerate innovation and learning by integrating multiple areas of UAV technology into school curriculums.
Empowering educational institutions one drone at a time, X-LIPAD challenged us to reinvent these complex technologies into creative toolkits that would add a new dimension to classroom learning.

Dreams are meant to be challenged. The name DREAM was derived from the platform’s capability to break through the walls of curiosity and propel innovation as far as the imagination can go.

We make these three lines blur with a brand concept that goes beyond the fundamental experience of X-LIPAD drones. “You innovate as you build, you explore as you innovate. We put the fun learning in between.”
Merging the worlds of technology and play
Integrating the drone propeller and game controller into the design, we developed a logo that emulates the fun and intuitive ease of navigating a drone with that of playing a highly interactive video game.
Exploring the full spectrum of innovation
Open innovation is at the core of X-LIPAD. We used gradient colors to highlight the fun dynamics and hybrid features of a modular quadcopter, giving students more freedom to build, explore, and innovate.
Geared towards the edge of endless possibilities
The simple structure of Sonorous reflects the modular build and assembly of X-LIPAD’s drones, while the broad functionality of Grotesque Pro implements the system’s open-ended approach towards learning and collaboration.
Pushing the limits of creativity and imagination
Exploring the bold and challenging the conventional, we came up with a packaging design that provides students with an outside-the-box introduction to the hands-on, immersive experience of building their own drones.
Assembling the building blocks of play-based learning
We believe that play takes many forms. We introduced X-LIPAD as a new playground for students to develop their critical skills and discover the joy of creation, so they can find success in school and pursue advanced areas of study.
